A corruption case has been filed against Nepal Telecom's Managing Director Sangita Pahadee, Sunil Paudel, and 16 others.
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed the case at the Special Court on Sunday, naming 18 individuals as defendants, according to Yagya Raj Regmi, the court's information officer.
Paudel was the then executive director of the National Information Technology Center. He is accused of corruption in various cases.
The charge alleges that corruption was committed by extending the contract system for repairing Nepal Telecom's billing system.
The CIAA has sought Rs 334.82 million in damages from the defendants.
