Students from Koteshwar Campus staged a demonstration in front of the main gate of the Parliament building in New Baneshwar on Wednesday, demanding justice for Rebika Khatri, who was injured by gunfire during a protest by royalists in the Tinkune area of Kathmandu on March 28.
Police have detained eight protesters.
Two months after the Tinkune protest, which claimed two lives, those injured by gunfire during the protest are still undergoing treatment.
Rebika, who hails from Udayapur, had no involvement in the protest. But she is still in hospital for treatment after she was shot at during the protest.
Rebika’s family complains that despite submitting the bills for expenses to the government, they have not received a single rupee so far.
