Two men have died of COVID-19 at the Koshi Hospital.
A 40-year-old man from Bishnupur rural municipality of Siraha and 30-year-old man from Biratnagar-15 died while being treated at the hospital's isolation ward, according to coordinator of the ward Laxmi Narayan Yadav.
Both died on Thursday.
"The patient from Siraha was suffering from respiratory problems and pneumonia, and died in course of treatment.
The man from Biratnagar was admitted at around 11 Thursday morning with high fever and respiratory problems. He had first tested negative but posthumously tested positive. "His swab was again sent for test after he died at around four in the afternoon. The report arrived positive Friday morning," Yadav revealed.
The COVID-19 death toll at the hospital has now reached seven.
