The government has called for people living along river banks to exercise caution pointing that water level in the main rivers in Nepal and their tributaries can cross the danger mark following incessant rainfall.
Issuing a notice Tuesday morning, the Flood Forecasting Section under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Narayani and its tributaries can cross the danger mark. It has cautioned that Susta of Nawalparasi can be inundated.
Similarly, Koshi will also hover around the danger mark while Kankai, Kamala, Bagmati, Tinau, East Rapti and others will also be around warning level.
