Nepal reports 40th COVID-19 death

Kathmandu, July 17

A 73-year-old man with COVID-19 has died while undergoing treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences Thursday.

"His report arrived at around five Thursday evening confirming infection and he breathed his last at around 10:30 in the night," a hospital source confirmed. He was admitted at the hospital last Wednesday.

The man with heart conditions was suffering from fever and cough when he was admitted. He was taken to the isolation ward directly from the emergency ward.

The hospital is coordinating with the Nepal Army for funeral rites of the man.

This is the 40^th COVID-19 death reported in Nepal.
