A man has died of COVID-19 in Gulmi Saturday night.
The man, 36, from Jaisithok of Dhurkot rural municipality 4 breathed his last at around 9:15 Saturday night, according to Dr Kavi Raj Bhusal with Tamghas Hospital.
The man had arrived from India on May 15. He had tested positive on May 25 while in quarantine at Panchayan Secondary School in Jaisithok. He was then admitted at the isolation ward of the hospital the next day.
He was suffering from cancer for the last two years and also had hemorrhoids.
He had refused to go to Butwal as referred by the hospital and stayed there, health coordinator of Resunga municipality Bom Aryal told Setopati.
His body was cremated by a team of security persons Saturday night itself.
