A youth with kidney problems die in isolation ward in Rolpa Swab sent for PCR test

A youth being treated in isolation at the Rolpa District Hospital has died Monday afternoon. Mayor of Rolpa municipality Purna KC confirmed with Setopati that he passed away at around four in the afternoon.

The youth is a kidney patient and was undergoing dialysis at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) since then. He was taken to Rolpa on a taxi by his father. "They had arrived in taxi. We had directly admitted him at the isolation ward of hospital," Mayor KC added.

He revealed that the youth had tested negative in rapid diagnostic test earlier on Monday. His swab has been sent to the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences at Ghorahi.

"We cannot say anything now. Result of PCR test will show whether he was infected with COVID-19 or not."

The body is currently kept at the district hospital.
