A six-year-old girl admitted at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) has found to have been infected with COVID-19. The girl undergoing treatment in the neurological ward was brought from Kapilvastu a week ago.
TUTH Director Dr Prem Singh Khadka said the girl is currently in the hospital and was scheduled for surgery today. He said the hospital is discussing about the future course of action after the girl admitted there tested positive.
New infection is being reported in Kapilvastu almost every day in recent times. The hospital estimates that the girl may have been infected while in Kapilvastu.
