The Nepal Army (NA) will procure 342 tons medical supplies from China through government to government arrangements at the cost of around Rs 2.25 billion.
Nepal and China have signed agreement to procure medical supplies worth US$ 18,441,706, according to NA Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey.
The two sides had agreed on quantity on Sunday. Pandey had told Setopati that the Chinese side has expressed commitment to send the materials within seven days of Nepal sending the money.
The materials will be brought in multiple stages due to the large quantity, and critical items will arrive in the first stage in seven to 10 days.
China will gather all the materials in Guangzhou and the government will have to bring them from there.
