Bomb exploded at Ncell tower

An unidentified group has exploded an improvised explosive device, cooker bomb, targeting the Ncell tower and equipment at Bachchhyuli, Ratnanagar municipality -6 in eastern Chitwan last night. The IED went off at around 12 midnight on Monday, Chief of Ratnanagar Area Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Basudev Khatiwada, said. DSP Khatiwada said although the Ncell equipment was damaged due to the blast, the tower was not damaged. Police suspects that cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal carried out the attack. Ncell had set up the equipment and the tower taking the land belonging to Shiva Narayan Chaudhari on lease. DSP Khatiwada said problems have been seen regarding the security of the Ncell towers and equipment as most places where Ncell has installed its BTS are uninhabited and without any security guard.
