Woman killed, husband injured after being hit by falling rock

A woman was killed and her husband injured after being hit by a falling rock at Surnaya rural municipality in the district on Monday evening. The deceased Raju Mahara, 33, and her husband Ram Singh Mahara injured in the incident were extracting rocks from a quarry in the locality to build their house when the incident occurred, the police said. The body of Raju was pulled out from the quarry after around three hours, said the municipality's ward member Hari Singh Mahara.
