Senior journalist Thapa passes away

A senior journalist of Sunsari Damber Bahadur Thapa passed away at his residence at Inaruwa-6 Tuesday morning. He was 71. He was suffering from asthma. Thapa was honored with ‘Srijanshil Journalism Award’ for his free and independent journalism during Panchayat regime. Also, the founder member of Press Club established in Biratnagar, he started his journalism career from ‘Matribhumi’ weekly. Federation of Nepali Journalists, Sunsari chapter and Nepal Press Union expressed sorrow over the demise of journalist Thapa.
