Large number of people throng Godavaridham fair

A large number of people thronged a fair organized at Gadavaridham of Kailali district on the occasion of Makar Sakranti Monday. A crowd of people throng there to take a holy bath and to worship at Godavaridham in the fair organized every year. A large number of people from Kailai, Kanchanpur, Doti and Dadeldhura districts have arrived here to visit the fair. There is a faith that one can wash away his/her sin after taking a holy bath in a Godavari river on the occasion of Makar Sakranti. According to the Fair Organizing Committee, Barha Rashi Darsan Makar Fair’ has also been organized with a plan of organizing Mahakumbha Fair in every 12 years, Ardha Kumbha Fair in every six years and Barha Rashi Darshan Makar Fair every year. The fair will run until January 26.
