The police have arrested a person who cheated almost 200 youths with a promise of a job with the Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
A team of the Metropolitan Police Crime Division has arrested one Ramakant Nauniya of Saptari from Kathmandu. SSP at the division Divesh Lohani said Nauniya had swindled almost 200 youths with a promise of RAW job. A total of 15 youths have filed complaints against him until now.
He would give appointment letter on letter heads of the Indian Embassy in Nepal, the cheated youths have complained. The police are investigating whether the letter heads used are genuine or fake.
Nauniya had been saying the youths will be paid IRs 50,000 in monthly salary for the job and asking the youths to pay him four-month salary in advance for the appointment.
The police said the youths who were ready to work for a foreign intelligence agency and provide secret information of the country will also be investigated.
