Private and Boarding School Organisation of Nepal (PABSON) has decided to close all private schools across the country Tuesday to mourn the demise of its former chair Dr Baburam Pokhrel.
An emergency meeting of the PABSON held Sunday following the death of Pokhrel took a decision to this effect, according to general secretary Rajendra Baniya. PABSON former chair Pokhrel, who was a heart patient, passed away Sunday morning at the Thapathali-based Norvic International Hospital.
Likewise, organization's flag will be lowered for three days from Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. PASON will hold no official programs until January 13, expressing grief over the demise of former chair.
Last rites of Pokhre, who is also the advisor to the PABSON and founding principal of the Vinayak Sudha (VS) Niketan Schools, will be performed Tuesday. He was the Constituent Assembly (2nd) member from the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal under the PR quota.
