The temperature of Kathmandu Valley fell to zero degree Celsius this morning. The minimum temperature for Saturday was 1.6 degree Celsius.
Meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division Barun Paudel said the temperature has fallen due to clear sky across the country and the wind coming from North West. "There is still no chance of getting a cloud cover or any weather system. Temperature in the Valley can fall further and get to sub-zero," Paudel satted.
The lowest temperature in the Valley during the last winter was 0.4 degree Celsius, according to the division. The lowest ever recorded temperature for the Valley is -3.5 degree Celsius recorded on January 11, 1978.
Tarai is suffering from a cold wave for the past few days. The maximum temperature across the plains has not risen above 10 degree Celsius in lack of sunshine during the day making life miserable for the people.
