Rupandehi businessman shot dead

A businessman has been shot dead at Devdaha Dhokar of Rupandehi district. Two unidentified persons riding motorcycle shot Basanta Poudel at his wood mill. Eyewitnesses have said that he was shot dead when he was at his wood mill by two gunmen riding the motorcycle, informed police. The security system has been beefed up after the incident. The security checks have been increased at various intersections of the district. It is learned that unidentified persons are linked to Manoj Pun group. Earlier, the group had killed Durga Tiwari, chief of the CPN-UML-aligned Youth Association Rupandehi chapter. The strike has been called at Butwal bazar to protest the incident.
