Cold affects life in Saptari

Normal life has been affected in Saptari with abrupt fall in temperature. The general public suffered from various diseases including pneumonia, common cold, cough, cold diarrhea, headache and asthma in Rajbiraj and other areas due to the cold. Mainly children and old-age people are suffering most from the diseases, said the Saptari District Public Health Office. Meanwhile, the community schools have been closed in Saptari district since Thursday due to the effect of cold. According to the District Education Office, the schools have been shut as the cold wave has adversely affected children. District Education Officer Dolraj Pandey told RSS that the schools have been closed down for Thursday and Friday considering potential effects of cold on children.
