Rolpa has 48 percent solar energy user households

Approximately 48 percent of households in the hilly district of Rolpa have access to solar power, said the district energy and environment section at the District Coordination Committee. The number of solar energy user households is 20,951. Likewise, the figure of hydroelectricity consumers puts at 7,744 households, around 30 percent, and the number is increasing, said an official at the Section. Of the total 63 small and micro hydropower projects including under construction one, the district has a total of 33 into operation, which generates the total 617 KW electricity. Likewise, 31 are under construction and two have broken down, said energy engineer Hukum Budha.
