A new building has been handed over to Saraswoti Basic Lower Secondary School at Suryabinayak municipality-8.
Manabiya Astha Nepal, a non-governmental organization, had reconstructed the quake-damaged building of the school.
Patron of Manabiya Astha Nepal and member of House of the Representatives Mahesh Basnet handed over the new building to the school.
Basnet said that the organization, established on the second day of the devastating Gorkha earthquake with an objective of providing humanitarian support and contributing to the development of Bhaktapur district, had constructed the four-room building at a cost of Rs 6.5 million.
Chairperson of Manabiya Astha Nepal Shree Kumar Ranjit said that the organization also provided different materials worth Rs 500,000 including bench, desk and books to the school. It has also been providing the scholarship of Rs 1,500 to 30 students monthly.
