Temporary policeman killed in clash with police in Kalikot

A temporary policeman has been killed in a clash between the police and temporary policemen in Kalikot Friday. Vivek Aidee, 24, of Tikuwa in Sanni Triveni village municipality, who was injured during the clash breathed his last while undergoing treatement at the District Hospital, according to Chief District Officer of Kalikot Badri Nath Gaire. Temporary policemen, whose contract ended on Friday, had protested in front of the District Police Office claiming that the administration cut a bigger amount in the name of ration expenses. "They did not lodge any grievances and suddenly started to pelt stones. One person was killed in the clash. We do not know yet what he died of," CDO Gaire told Setopati.
