An FM radio named Radio Buddhabani FM established recently in Suryodaya Municipality in the district has started test transmission three days ago.
The FM with a frequency of 95.7 megahertz that will go into full operation after a week is said to be covering Ilam district, and some other areas of Panchthar, Jhapa, and Sunsari as well.
The project is established by Suryadaya Communications Development Center at a cost of approximately Rs 4 million.
Meanwhile, 10-day training on anchoring, news reading and program production has started. The district has a total of four other FM stations in operation.
