Ilam-based Radio Buddhabani launches test transmission

An FM radio named Radio Buddhabani FM established recently in Suryodaya Municipality in the district has started test transmission three days ago. The FM with a frequency of 95.7 megahertz that will go into full operation after a week is said to be covering Ilam district, and some other areas of Panchthar, Jhapa, and Sunsari as well. The project is established by Suryadaya Communications Development Center at a cost of approximately Rs 4 million. Meanwhile, 10-day training on anchoring, news reading and program production has started. The district has a total of four other FM stations in operation.
