No International Elephant Polo Championship from this year

International Elephant Polo Championship, which was being organized during this season every year, is not going to be held from this year. According to the organizer, Tiger Tops, they are not going to organize the championship, organized for the 35th series successfully in the district, from this year. It remained one of the major attractions for domestic and foreign tourists visiting Nawalparasi. Managing Director of the Tiger Tops, DB Chaudhary, said, “We decided not to organize the championship to end cruelty against the animals.” This comes in wake of the increasing trend of hoteliers stopping elephant ride in Chitwan and other national parks of the country.
