DCC Jumla without chief for past five months

The District Coordination Committee Office, Jumla is without its head for the past five months, affecting the service seekers. Local Development Officer Hari Narayan Belbase, who is on a leave for the past five months, is yet to come back to work, said Lal Bahadur Sarki of the DCC, adding that administrative work has been affected in his absence. Now the office is making do with chief engineer at the District Technical Office, Jumla Raj Kumar Goit, who has been given the responsibility to fill in the absence of the LDO along with the responsibility to take in-charge of financial activities, he said. Responding to their repeated calls, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development was ready to send a government officer Hari Prasad Ghimire to replace Belbase, he said, adding however that Ghimire is yet to join office.
