Construction of a 300-bed capacity cancer hospital begins

A 300-bed capacity cancer hospital with sophisticated equipment is to be constructed in Jhapa. To be called the Eastern Region Cancer Hospital, it will be constructed within the premises of the B&C Hospital at Birtamod. The estimated cost of the hospital is Rs 2.50 billion. Executive Director of B&C Hospital, Durga Prasain laid the foundation stone for the construction of the hospital amidst a program here Wednesday. Executive Director Prasain said the hospital building would be constructed in six months. The B&C Hospital has been providing treatment services except for radiation to the cancer patients before this.
