Former lawmaker Bijay Paudel passes away

Former lawmaker and CPN (United) leader Bijay Paudel has died.

He passed away on Monday.

Dr Kiran Nakarmi, executive director of Kirtipur Hospital, told Setopati that Paudel had already died by the time he was brought to the hospital.

Paudel was the son of veteran leftist leader Modnath Prashrit.

He was active in the CPN (United) in recent years. Before that, he was active in the CPN (Unified Socialist) and, earlier, the CPN-UML.
