The government has recommended ambassadors to 13 countries, including India, China, and the United States.
A Cabinet meeting held on Friday under the leadership of Prime Minister Balen Shah recommended candidates for ambassadorial appointments to 13 countries.
Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal said that individuals from various fields had been recommended for the ambassadorial posts.
The government will now send the recommended nominees for parliamentary hearings. After the hearings are completed, the government will send their nominations to the respective countries to seek agrément.
Once agrément is received, the president will appoint them as ambassadors to the respective countries.

1. Nischal Nath Pandey - India
2. Kalyan Raj Sharma - China
3. Chiran Jung Thapa - United States
4. Former chief of the army staff Gaurav Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana (retired) - United Kingdom
5. Jigyan Kumar Thapa - Japan
6. Suresh Kumar Karn - Israel
7. Prapti Sherchan - Spain
8. Sharu Joshi - Germany
9. Padmakshi Rana - Oman
10. Chudamani Kharel - Malaysia
11. Sangam Shrestha - South Korea
12. Manchala Jha - Sri Lanka
13. Giri Bahadur Sunar - Saudi Arabia
