Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) General Secretary Sharad Raj Pathak has left the party.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Pathak said that he was stepping down from all responsibilities, including his position as general secretary.
He had joined the RPP during its merger with Rabindra Mishra’s political group. Mishra left the RPP shortly after the elections in March.
Earlier, General Secretary Dhawal Shumsher Rana also left the party.
In announcing his departure, Pathak said that there remained a deep contradiction between the party’s ideology and its conduct.
