The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) central disciplinary committee has sought clarification from three lawmakers of Bagmati province.
The committee has given the lawmakers 72 hours to submit their clarification. The letters were sent to the lawmakers on September 4.
According to the committee, it has sought explanations from lawmakers Monica Shrestha, Nuraj Bajracharya, and Dambar Tamang.
They had given the vote of confidence to Bagmati Chief Minister Kiran Thapa Magar of the CPN-UML, contrary to the directive issued by the RPP’s central leadership.
The disciplinary committee has asked them to explain why they should not be removed from their positions as provincial assembly members and suspended from ordinary membership of the party.
