The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided not to give the vote of confidence to the chief ministers of Bagmati and Lumbini provinces.
The government in Bagmati is led by the Nepali Congress, while Lumbini has a government led by the CPN-UML.
According to party spokesperson Mohan Shrestha, the RPP has decided to remain neutral in the Bagmati and Lumbini provincial assemblies, where the chief ministers are seeking votes of confidence on Monday.
He said that the party has instructed the leaders of the respective parliamentary parties to issue a whip to provincial assembly members accordingly.
He added that RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden has sent instructions to the parliamentary party leaders that the party will remain neutral on matters related to government formation in the provinces until another decision is made.
