The central committee meeting of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) began in Kathmandu on Friday.
However, three former party chairmen were absent from the meeting, with their designated seats remaining vacant.
Former chairmen Pashupati Shumsher Rana, Kamal Thapa, and Prakash Chandra Lohani did not attend the central committee meeting.
Vice-chairman Bikram Pandey was also absent.
During the meeting, party Chairman Rajendra Lingden proposed holding the party's central general convention from December 12 to 14.
The central committee meeting will continue until Saturday.
Notably, the former chairmen had attended a central executive committee meeting held on Wednesday.
Senior vice-chairman Rabindra Mishra left the party shortly after the general election held in March, while 186 leaders, including General Secretary Dhawal Shumsher Rana, resigned recently.
This is the first central committee meeting of the RPP since those high-profile departures.
