Government urges work from home, increased use of electric vehicles

Kathmandu, April 7

The government has appealed to the public to increase the use of electric vehicles.

Announcing the decisions of the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal said that the government has called for greater use of electric vehicles.

“The government has appealed to increase the use of electric vehicles and to work from home. If necessary, the odd-even vehicle system will also be implemented,” she said.

The government recently decided to grant two public holidays per week – on Saturdays and Sundays – due to difficulties in the supply of petroleum products.
