The Nepali Congress has endorsed the schedule for its regular 15th general convention through a central committee meeting.
Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal informed that the meeting held on Wednesday approved the general convention schedule.
The Nepali Congress held a special general convention in January. A regular general convention must be held within one year of a special general convention.
Accordingly, the party has scheduled its regular 15th general convention for October.
Party spokesperson Devraj Chalise said that the 15th general convention will be held in Kathmandu from October 2 to 5.
The meeting also decided that, as per the decision of the special general convention and Article 43 of the Nepali Congress statute, the tenure of party committees and bodies at all levels will remain valid until the completion of the 15th general convention.
