The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has recommended its proportional representation (PR) lawmakers to the Election Commission.
The party won nine seats under the proportional representation system in the House of Representatives election held on March 5. Accordingly, the names of five men and four women have been sent to the Election Commission, according to an NCP leader.
The recommended candidates include Balawati Sharma, Pramesh Hamal, Prem Bahadur Bayak, Bhim Kumari Budha, Parshuram Tamang, Jog Kumar Barbariya Yadav, Ganesh Bishwakarma, Parvati Bishwakarma, and Nirasha Chaudhary Dagaura.
The NCP also won eight seats under the direct (first-past-the-post) system. Including the proportional seats, the party will have 17 members in the House of Representatives.
