Nepali Congress (NC) has moved its Madhesh assembly forward by one day.
Originally scheduled to take place in Janakpur on February 19 to coincide with Democracy Day, the event will now be held on February 18.
A meeting of the NC Madhesh Province Executive Committee held on Saturday formalized the decision to organize the assembly in Janakpurdham on February 18. According to Nitesh Kumar Gupta, Chief of the Madhesh Province Publicity Department, the meeting held at the party's provincial office in Thapa Chowk decided to host the assembly at Tiruhutiya Gachhi in Janakpurdham.
The committee has assigned Gupta the responsibility of publicity for the assembly, while Yogendra Panjiyar has been tasked with stage management. Furthermore, after extensive discussions regarding the overall preparations, management, and organizational aspects, the party decided to ensure participation from all 32 electoral constituencies of Madhesh province to make the event effective and successful.
NC President Gagan Kumar Thapa will attend the assembly as the chief guest while various central office-bearers will also be in attendance.
