The voter list has been published at the ongoing closed session of the Nepali Congress special general convention at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu.
A five-member election committee, with senior advocate Sitaram KC as its coordinator, had earlier published the election schedule, stating that voting would take place on Tuesday from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.
However, the election committee's notice stated that the election process would begin on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the schedule, the preliminary voter list was to be published at 12:30 p.m., and the final voter list was to be published at 2 p.m.
There are 4,743 general convention representatives in the NC, some of whom have passed away. The organizers claimed that 63 percent of the representatives had registered for the special general convention.
According to the election schedule, nominations will be filed from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by the publication of the first list of candidates at 4:30 p.m.
The final list of candidates will be published at 8:45 p.m., and voting will commence at 9 p.m.
