Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah has submitted a written response to the commission investigating the incidents of September 8 and 9.
According to Bigyan Raj Sharma, the commission’s spokesperson, Shah submitted his written reply after the commission sent him a list of questions.
Sharma added that the commission has almost completed the process of recording statements.
Recently, it also recorded statements from representatives of the Gen Z movement.
The commission has already taken statements from high-profile figures, including former prime minister KP Sharma Oli, former home minister Ramesh Lekhak, former inspector general of police (IGP) Chandra Kuber Khapung, current IGP Dan Bahadur Karki, and Armed Police Force IGP Raju Aryal, among others.
To date, the commission has recorded statements from more than 150 individuals.
