The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has recommended names of potential candidates from all three constituencies of Kanchanpur district for the upcoming House of Representatives election.
A meeting of the party's district task force forwarded the list to the center, including a mix of experienced leaders and new faces.
From Constituency No. 1, seven names have been recommended, including former minister Bina Magar. Other nominees include Jeevan Raj Thapa, Madansen Badayak, Tilak Bhatta, Deepak BC, Bhakta Bahadur Adhikari, and Lokendra Lamsal.
Magar is the daughter-in-law of party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
In Constituency No. 2, there is a significant number of aspirants. The party has recommended Jayaram Pandeya, Durga Joshi Bhatta, Mahesh Datta Joshi, Madhav Prasad Panta, Lal Bahadur Khadka, Harish Thakulla (Kamal Chhetri), and Toyaraj Joshi.
Five leaders have been recommended from Constituency No. 3. They include Khem Bhandari, Deepak Singh Saud, Man Bahadur Sunar, Rajeev Damai, and Harak Singh Dhami.
According to NCP leader Jeevan Raj Thapa, the party's central task force will finalize the candidates from among the names recommended by the district.
