*Six parties have reached an agreement to form a new government in Madhesh province under the leadership of the Nepali Congress.
The six parties signed a written agreement on Friday to form a government headed by the NC’s Krishna Prasad Yadav.
Yadav, along with other leaders, has reached the office of the Madhesh province chief to submit his claim to the chief minister’s position.
According to Loktantrik Samajwadi Party lawmaker Upendra Mahato, the six-party alliance has finalized Yadav's name as the chief minister.
Mahato said that the claim will be submitted within deadline given by the province chief.
The parties that signed the written agreement to make NC lawmaker Yadav the chief minister include the NC, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, Janamat Party, CPN (Maoist Center), Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Nepal, and CPN (Unified Socialist).
