Prime Minister Sushila Karki has called an all-party meeting for Friday.
The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday at the prime minister's official residence in Baluwatar.
The National Assembly election is scheduled for January 25, and the House of Representatives election for March 5, 2026.
Prime Minister Karki is holding the all-party meeting to discuss matters including work being done in preparation for the elections.
The Election Commission, chiefs and representatives of political parties, security agencies, and government representatives will also participate in the discussion.
"We have been called to an all-party discussion by the Prime Minister's Secretariat," said a leader. "The Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Nepali Communist Party, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have reportedly been invited to the discussion. We have been informed that the Election Commission and security agencies will also be present at the discussion."
This is the first time the prime minister has called for such a discussion.
