President Paudel approves Nepal Army deployment for March 5 elections

President Ram Chandra Paudel has approved the deployment of the Nepal Army for necessary security arrangements during the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the Office of the President, the army will be mobilized for election security based on the recommendation of the prime minister and the decision made by the Cabinet on November 24.

“The president has granted approval for the mobilization of the Nepal Army for security arrangements to successfully conduct the House of Representatives elections," the statement reads.
