The government has brought the Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) and the Department of Money Laundering Investigation (DMLI) under the Ministry of Finance.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel said that a Cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to bring these two departments under the Ministry of Finance.
Similarly, the government's intelligence agency, the National Investigation Department (NID), has been brought under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Previously, all three departments were under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
