Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has stated that he is always in favor of civilian supremacy.
Issuing a statement on Tuesday, Lamichhane said that he is clear that the movement that started on Monday is purely a Gen-Z movement and that the country's future leadership must move forward according to the demands and vision of Gen-Z.
"First, I would like to pay my heartfelt tribute to the martyrs who lost their lives in this movement and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. The punishment of the looters of this country is ongoing. Their private property is not theirs; they have accumulated it by looting generations of this country. Their remaining property must also be completely nationalized, and they must be brought to book," he said.
He said that it is now necessary to be very restrained and protect the country's properties. "Documents related to national security, such as those of the police, security agencies, and judiciary, are important assets of the nation. If they could not be protected, the country's sensitive documents can be destroyed, which can be extremely damaging for us and for this country. Since damage to government property is damage to the nation's assets, it is also our responsibility to protect it," he said.
He also said that he was only released from the Nakkhu Jail after the government, under pressure from citizens, completed the legal process for his release and handed him the letter and came directly to the public.
"Despite this, I would like to inform you that I am loyal to the laws of the country and am ready for all necessary legal procedures that may arise in the future. As a conscious citizen, I sincerely request everyone to be restrained now," he said.
