Protestors get RSP President Rabi Lamichhane out of Nakhkhu Jail

Kathmandu, Sept 9

Protestors have taken Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane out of Nakhkhu Jail Tuesday afternoon.

Protesters released Lamichhane from the jail on Tuesday afternoon.

RSP central member Krantishikha Dhital posted a video on social media showing Lamichhane giving a speech after his release from prison.

Lamichhane was in Nakhkhu Jail on charges of misappropriating cooperative savings.

According to Head of Nakhkhu Jail Satyaraj Joshi, the protestors had been throwing stones. "We released him for the safety of other prisoners," Joshi stated.
