Protestors participating in the demonstration organized by Gen Z youths in Kathmandu have vandalized the party office of the CPN (Unified Socialist).
On Monday afternoon, participants of the protest in New Baneshwar vandalized the office of the Unified Socialist located in Aloknagar.
According to Prakash Jwala, vice-chairman of the Unified Socialist, the protestors pelted stones at the party office from outside the gate.
“Windowpanes have been shattered because of that. There were also attempts to climb over the gate and enter the office. They even tried to set fire to the building. The crowd dispersed after the Armed Police Force arrived," he said.
Jwala added that Armed Police Force personnel are currently stationed at the office.
Earlier in the day, protestors vandalized the walls of the Parliament building and tried to set it on fire, following which the police opened fire.
