The death toll in the Gen Z protest in Kathmandu has reached six.
A doctor at the Trauma Center stated that four people who were brought in for treatment have died.
Meanwhile, one person has died at KMC Hospital in Sinamangal, Kathmandu.
According to the hospital's administration chief, Narayan Prasad Dahal, a person who was shot has died.
"Three critically injured persons were brought in. One of them has died. He was shot. The other two are undergoing surgery. Their condition is also extremely critical," Dahal told Setopati.
More than 30 injured have been taken to KMC Hospital for treatment.
Earlier, Director of Civil Hospital in Baneshwar Dr Mohan Chandra Regmi confirmed the death of of one person during treatment there.
This brings the total number of fatalities to six.
The Trauma Center and Civil Hospital are full of injured people.
The protest, which started at 9 am on Monday, later turned violent. Police used tear gas and water cannons, and eventually, opened fire.
