Nagarik Unmukti Party Chair Ranjita Shrestha arrives at CIAA for voice test

Ranjita Shrestha, chairperson of the Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP), has arrived at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) in Tangal for a voice test in connection with the “bribe deal” audio.

A source confirmed that Shrestha arrived at the CIAA office for the voice test on Wednesday afternoon.

CIAA officials are also preparing to question her.

Rajkumar Gupta, former minister for federal affairs and general administration, was also summoned earlier for a voice test. His voice test was conducted on Tuesday.

The CIAA has already recorded the statement of Sujan Lama, who was allegedly involved in the bribe deal.

A CIAA source said that Shrestha also came under investigation after some evidence of her involvement was found in the statement.
