The prohibitory order imposed within Kathmandu’s Ring Road has been lifted.
The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, issued a notice on Thursday, stating that the prohibitory order imposed within the Ring Road area has been revoked.
After pro-monarchy protests intensified, the administration office had banned demonstrations within the Ring Road and public spaces inside it, except for three locations, from June 1.
With the protests currently halted, the administration office has lifted the prohibition order.
The notice, issued by Assistant Chief District Officer Ashok Kumar Bhandari, states that protest programs can now be organized in all those locations in coordination with the District Administration Office.
