Second rung leaders of ruling CPN have given three suggestions to the warring chairmen.
A few ministers and standing committee members after a meeting at the hall of Agriculture Ministry on Thursday have given three advices to CPN Chairmen KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal. "The meeting today has decided to advise the chairmen to stop demonstrations in different social media and the streets, lay new foundation for unification and try to find solution even by further postponing the standing committee meeting," a standing committee member told Setopati.
Agriculture Minister Ghanashyam Bhusal, Province 5 Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel, Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali, Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai, Forest Minister Shakti Basnet, Energy Minister Barsha Man Pun, Political Advisor to the Prime Minister Bishnu Rimal and other standing committee members Surendra Pandey, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Janardan Sharma and Mani Thapa were present during the meeting.
"We have concluded that our initiative is necessary to make party unity stronger," Minister Bhusal said after the meeting.
The second rung leaders had also met on July 4 under initiation of Bhusal to try to resolve the internal dispute in the party.
