The Kaski District Court has sent President of Kaski Football Association Milan Gurung to judicial custody for seven days while provincial assembly member of CPN from Gandaki Deepak Manange, who slapped Gurung, has been released on bail of Rs 6,000.
Spokesperson with Kaski Police DSP Raj Kumar KC confirmed that the court has granted a seven-day custody of Gurung on Sunday.
Manange, meanwhile, has been released on bail of Rs 6,000 by Chief District Officer (CDO) of Kaski Ramesh KC in the case of public offense.
The case of Gurung, who was arrested on Friday following complaint of banking offense and dupery by a few businessmen, was heard by the court and not the District Administration Office as in the case of Manange.
Manange had manhandled Gurung before inauguration of the Chief Minister Cup Football Tournament at Bhandardhik, Lekhnath in Pokhara on Tuesday.
He was arrested from a hotel at Lakeside in Pokhara immediately after casting vote in the National Assembly election on Thursday after Gurung filed a police complaint on Wednesday.
Gurung was arrested a day later following complaint of banking offense and dupery.
